A.J. Brown's future with the is incredibly uncertain heading into the 2026 offseason. Brown has had two consecutive down years in Philadelphia, and 2025 was from the superstar receiver. It may be best for the Eagles to move on from Brown and give everyone involved a fresh start, and this is what believes it will cost for a team to acquire the 28-year-old receiver. , Schefter said that he doesn't know if Philadelphia will entertain offers for Brown, but if they do, it will likely cost at least a first-round pick. Ruslan Khazheyev Jersey "I think teams are going to be motivated [in inquiring about Brown]. Everyone's going to be motivated to upgrade their roster, so what's the best way to do that if you can't do it in free agency? You're going to be more anxious to do it in a trade, but you know if you're trading Brown, I don't know what the return would be on an A.J. Brown trade. I personally think the Eagles would want a one if they even entertained it. I don't know if they will. At least a one." Though Brown hasn't been an elite receiver over the last two seasons, the three-time Pro Bowler is still one of the most dynamic playmakers in football and has posted four straight 1,000-yard campaigns. Since entering the league in 2019 with the , Brown has had just one season without 1,000 yards in 2021. The Ole Mi s product is on a Hall of Fame trajectory, and teams aren't going to pa s on the opportunity to trade for him. A first-round pick seems like fair value for Brown, who has been Philadelphia's No. 1 receiver for nearly a half-decade. However, we'll see whether the Eagles even make Brown available for trade, as the franchise still has aspirations to win another Super Bowl under the current regime despite a disappointing 2025 season. Kentucky RB guarantees win over Florida Mark Stoops furiou

Guaranteeing a win is one sure way for a player to draw attention, in the locker room and in the pre s.This week it's Kentucky running back Jojo Kemp, who pledged that the Wildcats would be coming home with a victory after playing Florida on Saturday."A couple of my (high school) teammates actually went to Florida, so I'm familiar with a lot Vladimir Tarasenko Jersey of those guys," Kemp said after Tuesday's practice, according to . "It's going to be fun walking out with a victory and rubbing it in their faces."If Kentucky were to do just that, it would be quite shocking even if Florida is not exactly top-25 material right now. The Gators, after all, have beaten the Wildcats 27 straight times. While a few of Kemp's teammates no doubt like his gusto heading into an SEC game on Saturday, Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops certainly does not."I was furious. The thing is, I was outraged. I talked to him about it," Stoops said on the weekly SEC conference call. "It's not very smart to try to challenge their pride before you play them. Believe me, I know them. And so I don't think that was very smart. It's not something that I teach. It's not how we talk."So, it will be no surprise if Kemp sees his playing time cut against Florida. The 5-foot-10, 192-pound Sunshine State native has rushed 17 times for 72 yards and a touchdown so far this season. He's considered the primary backup to junior Braylon Heard at tailback. It didn't go over well with Stoops, but at least one side is trying to make this rivalry a little more interesting in 2014. Florida won last season in Lexington, 24-7, and it looks like this year's contest could pack a little extra punch in a rather lackluster Week 3 slate of college football games. You can follow Bryan Fischer on Twitter at . New York Giants embattled QB named teams biggest potential bust for 202

This appears to be the make-or-break season for quarterback Daniel Jones.Entering his sixth season and the second of a four-year, $160 million contract, Jones finds himself as one of the most polarizing players in the NFL. is among the analysts who don't see a turnaround coming for Jones, naming him the team's biggest potential bust for the 2024 season.Even before factoring in his recovery from a serious knee injury, Daniel Jones has a difficult outlook. He's never cracked seven yards per attempt in five seasons as a starter. Sure, the Giants upgraded the receiving corps, but Jones has consistently been a below-average QB. Now, he just happens to be a Jean-gabriel Pageau Jersey very expensive one, too.Jones will be out to prove his efficient 2022 season wasn't an outlier. In that first season under head coach Brian Daboll, Jones completed 67.2% of his pa ses for 3,205 yards, 15 touchdowns, five interceptions and a 92.5 pa ser rating in 16 games. He also added 120 carries for 708 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.Improving the offensive line was a major objective for the Giants this offseason. They added veterans Jon Runyan Jr. and Jermaine Eluemunor to the guard positions, but it remains to be seen how they will mesh with the three incumbent starters.Adding Malik Nabers in the draft was huge. Jones hasn't had a true WR1 since entering the league in 2019, and Nabers can provide that from the jump.Ultimately, it will be up to Jones to step up and prove he's worth $40 million per year. If he doesn't, some big decisions will be made in the upcoming offseason. Calle Odelius Jersey -

Now, the legend's son is continuing his college basketball journey as a transfer to his third program. The fittingly named Anquan Boldin Jr. committed this week to transfer to Stonehill College, a small Division I program: Welcome to Stonehill Stonehill Men's Basketball (@StonehillMBB) MORE: Boldin Jr. played his first two college seasons at the University of Buffalo. He averaged 7.0 points and 1.4 a sists per game in his first season with the Bulls, then put up 7.8 points and 1.1 a sists per game in his second season at UB. Boldin Jr. transferred for the 2025-26 season to play at Florida A&M, but his numbers declined there. With FAMU, Boldin Jr. put up 5.8 points and 0.9 a sists per game. Now, he's moving on to Stonehill to try and propel his college hoops career forward. Boldin Jr. is listed at 6-foot-4, and he obviously has impre sive athletic genes. One thing holding him back is the skill that can make or break a career: his outside shooting. In college, Boldin Jr. is just a 27% 3-point shooter. In this pace-and-space era, that's not going to get it done. For the unaware, Stonehill is located in Easton, Ma sachusetts. And it'll now have the son of an NFL legend playing for its basketball team. More NFL news: Mattias Norlinder Jersey -

The could be poised to make big changes again pending the results of their final two games, league sources said, with ownership continuing to a se s the performance of the staff. If the Haslams do opt to make a coaching change, they could provide Urban Meyer's best chance of leaping to the NFL.Jimmy Haslam has a very strong bond with Meyer, the sources said, and the two have long been confidants. Meyer has often shared inside information on his Ohio State players with the owner in the past -- with the owner privileged to player reports and potential red flags that most if not all teams close to that program were not aware of. It was not uncommon at all for the men to be in conversation Isaiah Pryor Jersey and act as a sounding board for one another, and Meyer has a unique cache in Ohio based on his succe sful stint with the Buckeyes.Meyer has openly campaigned for the job -- which is not yet open -- and spent last Sunday in Washington owner Dan Snyder's suite. Though Meyer, working as a college football analyst, later came out and said he is not interested in returning to coaching, that is not the signal that has been privately sent to teams, according to multiple sources."Jimmy Haslam is as close to Urban Meyer as he is with the Mannings," said one source with direct knowledge of the situation, noting Haslam's ties to and his family as a huge University of Tenne see booster. And several of Haslam's job searches in the past have included conversations with, and interviews of, college coaches, with that a model that he has considered. The Browns have lacked discipline and a consistent pa sing game this season despite the highest expectations they've had since they returned to the NFL as an expansion team, and quarterback , himself not long removed from the college game, has struggled mightily in his second season. The Haslams may end up opting for the status quo -- games with division winner Baltimore and division doormat Cincinnati remain -- but several sources around the league believe that if they do make a move, they would at least consult with Meyer. The deeper we get into this most bizarre offseason in NFL history, the more I find myself buying the . And, in particular, buying Kevin Stefanski as the perfect antidote to their flawed, Freddie Kitchens-led 2019 campaign.Since March I have been hearing positive reviews, mostly whispered, not screamed, from those within the Browns long-toxic building about Stefanski's cerebral approach and calming impact. You'd pick up something from a player or two, or an agent who represents multiple players on that team. They would be small but salient texts or asides in a phone call about some tangential topic."This guy seems to really get it," one agent opined after talking to his Browns clients months ago."Could be the right guy for the job," another pa sed along a few weeks back. "Players seem to respond to him, even if it's all remote."I don't want to get too high or heady about this stuff, because truth be told I thought this team would finally emerge from its decades-long malaise last year. But something does seem different, and Stefanski's Ivy League, uber-prepared, detail-oriented approach seems like the perfect yin to last year' Shawn Thornton Jersey s anything-goes yang. The vibe is more profe sional and organized -- even via Zoom -- and I continue to hear that Stefanski is all-in on melding his offensive approach to the strengths of this team, and not forcing some super-complicated system down everyone's throat.Which teams could dominate the NFL for the next decade? Ryan Wilson and host Will Brinson answer that question and more on a Mailbag Monday edition of the Pick Six Podcast; listen below and for daily NFL goodne s.It's too soon to see much tangible evidence of the buy in on-field, with this reworked training camp and all, but it's worth noting how quickly that disgruntled tight end David Njoku changed his tune about a trade request. He went from being the one di senting voice amid a locker room famous for them over multiple coaching regimes, to proclaiming his joy to remain a Brown a mere few weeks later.Of course, Njoku should have known better than to fall prey to the siren call from agent Drew Rosenhaus as he recruited the tight end away from his former agents -- it was never going to be easy to get the talented but star-cro sed player traded and paid -- and kudos to rookie GM Andrew Berry for the level-headed way in which he navigated the situation, keeping a player vital to their tight-end heavy offensive attack and getting him back in the proper headspace with camp opening in earnest.I believe Stefanski is going to limit the volume thrown at , get him to deliver the ball quickly and confidently, and utilize a bruising two-back attack to soften up opposing defenses. Le s hero ball; more three-step drops and rapid delivery like a point guard. With an expanded playoff field, the Browns are going to be an interesting team to watch, and if the AFC North ends up sending three teams to the postseason I wouldn't blink.Odd opt-out deadline could backfire even moreThe rhetoric coming out of some NFL front offices about players opting out is sad but not shocking. It's fairly disgraceful, and these team or league execs would never dare say it out loud, but have no problem trying to apply pre sure to the NFLPA and its players through the media anonymously. Please keep the following in mind when you read anything about players not acting "in good faith" as it applies to opting out of the 2020 season -- these stipulations were literally just collectively bargained between the NFL and NFLPA about football amid COVID-19. No one is gaining anything by leaving the sport for a year with so much risk and uncertainty about how it will play out. The owners literally just agreed to two tiers by which players of various roster designations and experience can collect a stipend -- to be paid back in 2021 -- in order to stay home in 2020.The idea that a player would exploit these rules for self gain is, on its face, ludicrous. Again, these are the rules and players can follow accordingly. Good faith has nothing to do with it. A player who is in line for a contract extension that his team may not want to pay, in part because of the uncertainty of lost revenue amid this unusual season, who informs that team he might stay away is merely exercising his collectively-bargained rights. He is using all factors of the situation to make a final decision in the same way that team is claiming COVID-19 makes it hard for them to pay him now. This coin always has two sides, and it's pretty rich coming from management in a league without guaranteed contracts. Teams routinely apply the franchise tag to squat on a player's rights for another year, or to maintain his rights to later trade him that offseason, and not as a "good faith" trigger to a long-term deal, as intended per the CBA. Teams routinely rework and extend a player's contract not as a true means to keeping him around longer, but to gain short-term cap relief.Please. Save that good faith garbage. Especially in a pandemic. The mere fact that there is an "opt-out deadline" at all seems odd to me given what the NFL and its players are up against. That anyone thinks it's just to bump it up because players are mulling all options is distasteful under these circumstances and, from the chatter I am picking up, will ultimately lead to more players saying no thanks to what might be a doomed experiment anyway. As Pats veteran safety put it in a recent online interview with reporters: "It's an absolute joke that NFL is changing the opt-out period, mainly because they don't want to continue to see guys opt out. I'm sure they're shocked about how many guys have opted out. But it's the same thing when we sign the CBA; sometimes some of those things that we think are good sometimes backfire."By Wednesday, this agenda might backfire even more, with many players currently on the fence about opting to skip 2020.Rough road ahead for New York teamsI could see New York winning six football games this season.Oh, which team you say? Sorry. I should have specified. Both. The and , combined, might hit six wins. That's where I would set a Big Apple over/under should we actually see these outfits take the field 16 times each in 2020. It's not going to be pretty. The Giants continue to lose players to injury and/or breaking the law, and already had one of the thinnest and worst collections of talent in the NFL. The defense has major i sues at every level, and the offense will have two weeks of padded practices to absorb a brand new system and new coaches with a second-year QB. Rookie coach Joe Judge has no shot. Godspeed.Would anyone be surprised if this team was picking in the top five, again? The learning curve, under these working conditions, will be beyond steep. In a pa s-heavy league they lack for dudes who can pre sure a quarterback or make plays on the ball downfield. Their best weapon on offense is a running back for a team that figures to be playing from behind quite a bit.As for the Jets, another day, another controversy. Gone from that locker room in the span of a week are , their best player, linebacker CJ Mosley, arguably their next-best player, and now guard , their longest-serving player. They are bereft of talent on both sides of the ball, have only one regular who has been there since 2016 (defensive lineman ) and are always dealing with one scandal or another. Owner Woody Johnson's po sible return in November, amid allegations of improper comments regarding race and gender and an ethics scandal as Amba sador to the UK, is just one more cloud hanging over them, and if you were writing a script for teams doomed and damned to fail, this would be a good one to steal.I believe young GM Joe Douglas has the skills to eventually turn this around, but this has become a total tear down and we'll see what else he could fetch for the few veteran a sets that remain (, anyone?). I foresee a bleak football horizon in New York. It's frankly hard to think otherwise, given the events of the past few weeks and months. Parker Wotherspoon Jersey

NFL Defensive Player of the Year odds best bets Myles Garrett Micah Parsons T.J. Watt battlin
delmermollie a cree un sujet dans un sujet Discussions générales
Defense still matters in the NFL. Through all the rule changes over the years that have benefited pa sing and all the gaudy offensive stats piling up from every part of the league having elite defensive a sets still serves as a game-changer. Three such players will battle this weekend to distinguish themselves as the next NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, Micah Parsons, and T.J. Watt. Today we'll discu s each player's chances and make our prediction for who will take down the top defensive honor in the 53rd year of the award. It might be the tightest DPOY race the NFL has ever seen, perhaps even closer than the 2017 race that saw Aaron Donald prevail over Calais Campbell and Chandler Jones. And, like that year, the top candidates all make their living terrorizing quarterbacks. Elite pa s-rushers have always held a special place in AP DPOY voters' hearts, but they have especially dominated the award over the past decade or so. Since 2012, only two non-sackmasters have been honored as DPOY: middle linebacker Luke Kuechly (2013) and cornerback Stephon Gilmore (2019). The nine other selections in that 11-year span were either defensive ends, defensive tackles, or outside linebackers aka edge rushers. So, who will prevail as the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year? We may not know until this weekend that's how damn close it is right now. But let's check out the current BetMGM odds, determine what kind of value each player yields, and make our predictions for the NFL's next DPOY recipient. betmgm_coloredCLAIM YOUR BONUS BETS AT BETMGM TODAYNFL Defensive Player of the Year 2023: Odds Player Odds Myles Garrett, Browns -200 Micah Parsons, Cowboys +300 T.J. Watt, Steelers +400 Maxx Crosby, Raiders +5000 Nick Bosa, 49ers +10000 Roquan Smith, Ravens +10000 Danielle Hunter, Vikings +10000 Josh Allen, Jaguars +10000 As you can see, it's a pretty tight race. Garrett anchors the front-seven for the stifling defense of the Browns, who have gone 11-5 despite losing Deshaun Watson and Nick Chubb to season-ending injuries. Clevelandhas rolled out four different QBs in multiple starts, and yet it has as good a chance as any team in the NFL to make the Super Bowl (Joe Flacco has played a part, as we discu sed in ). Like Flacco and incredible comeback story Damar Hamlin in the Filip Bystedt Jersey CPOY race, Garrett and Parsons are neck-and-neck atop the board. However, what sets this market apart from the rest of the awards is the fact that Watt, the 2021 DPOY, joins them in a three-way slugfest. It's quite rare to see three different pa s-rushers at +400 or shorter going into the final weekend of the regular season. Because this seems like such a close battle, we fully expect Garrett to suit up this weekend despite the fact that Cleveland already clinched the No. 5 seed in the AFC (the Browns have locked up the best record amongst all non-division champs, since the Ravens already secured the AFC North title). That's the way we like it no funny stuff to potentially shake up the odds substantially before or after the season finale. That means we can analyze the candidates on an even playing field, with all three frontrunners logging full 17-game seasons. With that being said, let's break down each frontrunner's case for winning 2023 Defensive Player of the Year. Myles Garrett, Browns (-200) While Garrett's total of 14 sacks trails Watt by three, the Browns' stud pa s-rusher makes up for that gap in myriad ways. Cleveland has the No. 1 yardage defense in the NFL and allows the fewest pa sing yards, the shortest drives, and the fewest third-down conversions. Garrett as the top pa s-rusher in all of football (94.8), while him second behind only Parsons in pa s-rush win rate (30%) and double-team percentage (29%). He has also drawn 11 penalties from opposing linemen throughout the season, which leads the league. Oh, and he has played 88 percent of defensive snaps in six of Cleveland's past 10 games, despite operating with a nagging shoulder injury since Week 12. Garrett is by far the best defender on arguably the best defense in the NFL. 49ers studs Nick Bosa and Fred Warner might have claims in the NFC, while Baltimore's Roquan Smith deserves a mention in the AFC but pound for pound, it's difficult to find an individual player who means more to his team than Garrett. The Browns have been head-and-shoulders better than Pittsburgh defensively this season, while Cleveland certainly cannot hold a candle to the Cowboys' high-flying offense. For these reasons, Garrett stands out as the top candidate going into the final weekend of play but he will need to show up and shout out against the Bengals to stay atop the odds board. Micah Parsons, Cowboys (+300) Parsons may have fewer total plays (226) than Watt (287) and Garrett (269) and his 13 sacks trail Watt's 17 and Garrett's 14 but he remains one of the most dominating forces in the NFL. According to ESPN's pa s-rushing ranks, the third-year pro ranks No. 1 in pa s-rush wins (83), win rate (37%), and double-team rate (34%). He's PFF's second-highest graded pa s-rusher (93.9). PFF also has Parsons as the leader in terms of QB hurries. Parsons also has the distinction of being the reigning DPOY runner-up, which sometimes sways voters in a player's favor. The 49ers' Bosa ran away with 1st in last year's voting capturing 46 of 50 first-place votes and nearly 95 percent of the voting share but Parsons was widely respected with 101 vote points and a 40.6 percent voting share at 2nd. He was also the unanimous selection for 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year, so don't be surprised if he darts to the top of the pack after going to town this weekend on the Commanders, who have been sacked more than any other team in the NFL. T.J. Watt, Steelers (+400) Pound for pound, Watt is arguably the best edge rusher in the NFL. He's tied with Cincy's Trey Hendrickson for most sacks (17), he trails only Nick Bosa in QB knockdowns (18), and he makes the short list with 18 tackles for lo s.He has also contributed 60 tackles, eight pa s deflections, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, an interception, and a defensive touchdown this season in what has been a rollercoaster year for the Steelers. Head coach Mike Tomlin often reminds us that Watt is the best defender in the world, but we don't think voters will share that sentiment this time around. For one, the Steelers and the defense around Watt are not great. While Cleveland and Dallas each have 11 wins, Pittsburgh has scratch-and-clawed its way to nine. Pittsburgh has also surrendered the 11th-most total yards in the NFL, while the Browns have given up the fewest and the Cowboys have allowed the eighth-fewest. And we all know about voter fatigue when it comes to awards if it's a close race and one of the three candidates just won two years ago and plays for the worst team of the three, you can basically ki s that guy's chances goodbye this time around. Best bet to win 2023 Defensive Player of the Year: Garrett (-200) This one isso damnclose, but in the end we think it goes to Garrett over Parsons. Garrett is 28 while Garrett just turned 28, Cleveland has been a superior defense than Dallas from top to bottom, and the Browns needed Garrett to be their team MVP while the Cowboys relied on a plethora of game-changers on both sides of the ball in Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and DaRon Bland. We could see Parsons having a field day against the Commanders this weekend and usurping the top spot, so we wouldn't put our life savings on Garrett with the juice. However, just like Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski will almost a suredly win Coach of the Year, we think the best player on the NFL's best defense will prevail and take DPOY home. Bo Jackson Derrick Henry my No. 1 choice for Heisma

Bo Jackson, the former Auburn star Ryan Donato Jersey who won the Heisman in 1985, has a favorite in the race for this year's trophy.Jackson says he'd cast his ballot for Alabama running back Derrick Henry."He is my No. 1 choice to win," Jackson on Tuesday. "We ex-Heisman winners, we have three votes and we can vote for three players and right now he is my first choice on the list. I say this -- if someone from Auburn can't win the Heisman or if Auburn can't win the national championship, I'd rather for it to stay in the state. If we can do that, the state is doing good. It makes us look good ... the rest of the country cannot deny that we produce champions."Jackson is far from alone in that sentiment. Henry has emerged as one of the top contenders for the Heisman, with his stiffest competition likely coming from Clemson QB Deshaun Watson. Florida State RB Dalvin Cook, LSU RB Leonard Fournette and Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey are among the other leading candidates.Henry ranks sixth in the FBS -- behind Cook, Fournette and McCaffrey -- in rushing yards per game with 138.7. However, he ranks first in the FBS with 21 rushing touchdowns. If Alabama takes care of Auburn on Saturday and then Florida in the SEC Championship Game thanks in part to more strong performances from Henry, he'll have plenty of support from Jackson and others when voters send in their ballots ahead of the Dec. 12 Heisman announcement.Follow College Football 24/7 on Twitter __. The and were at a stalemate in contract negotiations, and Philadelphia appeared ready to move on from its single-season all-time receptions leader. Per Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, before moving him to injured reserve with the ankle injury .Philadelphia designated Ertz as having a minor injury when he was placed on IR, which meant Ertz couldn't be dealt -- but Breer pointed out the Eagles delayed putting Ertz on injured reserve for a few days, raisingsome eyebrows around the league. Another player the Eagles have on the trade block is , who the front office has tried to deal on Tyler Myers Jersey multiple occasions over the course of the past calendar year. Jeffery has yet to play a game this season as he still is recovering from a LisFranc injury from last December.Ertz has been struggling on the field for the Eagles before his injury, averaging a career-low 7.4 yards per catch with just one touchdown in six games. He was on pace for just 475 receiving yards -- which would have been his lowest total since his rookie season in 2013. Ertz had nine catches for 48 yards over his past three games before the injury. WAS TE #86 TAR29REC19REC YDs139REC TD1FL0Jeffery has e sentially been replaced in the Eagles' lineup by , who has emerged as the best wide receiver on the team since being called up from the practice squad in Week 4. Fulgham's 284 receiving yards over the past three weeks rank fifth in the NFL and his three receiving touchdowns are tied for second in the league. Jeffery has a cap number of $18,486,500 in 2021 -- the final year of his contract -- but the Eagles can save $7,977,000 in cap space by releasing him ().Ertz has a cap number of $12,471,500 in 2021 -- the final year of his contract -- but has been seeking a raise after and received extensions this offseason. Ertz has been frustrated over negotiations as the Eagles seek to get younger acro s the roster (Ertz will turn 30 later this year) and doesn't appear to have room for the player who caught the winning touchdown pa s in Super Bowl LII.Despite all Ertz has given to the Eagles, his career is heading toward ending on another team -- a reality Ertz is preparing to face. Tired of the hype yet?Hopefully not, because it doesn't appear to be ending any time soon.Conventional wisdom is that the Jets didn't get a chance to reach their full potential last year after star quarterback tore his Achilles on the first drive of the season. But now, Rodgers is back, New York has bolstered its offensive line, and sportsbooks appear all in on the new and improved Gang Green.ADVERTISEMENT At FanDuel Sportsbook, New York is the new favorite to win the AFC East at +160, just ahead of the at +195.After the famously won the division 17 times between 2001 and 2019, the Bills have won the AFC East four straight times. The Jets are also a +165 favorite to win the division at DraftKings Sportsbook, with Buffalo at +195.When division odds first began to drop Jaroslav Halak Jersey back in early March, the Bills were at +130 to repeat in the AFC East at DraftKings, followed by the at +180 and the Jets at +300.The last time New York finished at least second in the AFC East was back in 2015. The last time it won the division was way back in 2002.Should the Jets be favored to win the AFC East? On Monday's edition of "Breakfast Ball," FOX Sports' suggested that the lofty expectations for the Jets were warranted, saying they have "the best roster in all of football.""With Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, over the course of his Hall of Fame career, when his defense has let up 20 points or le s, he is 81-10. And it's not up for debate: This will be the best defense Aaron Rodgers has ever had as a quarterback in the NFL. The New York Jets have the best defensive line, the best linebackers, the best secondary, some of the best wide receivers, and one of the top four running backs in the game."The Jets defensive unit was indeed stellar last season, as it was one of only five teams that allowed fewer than 300 yards of total offense to opponents per game (292.3, third in the NFL).New York also allowed just 20.9 points per game, running racked up 994 rushing yards in 17 appearances, and the Jets won seven games with a mixture of , and at quarterback.Could 2024 actually be their year?Follow along with FOX Sports for the latest news on the NFL and other sports.Want great stories delivered right to your inbox? Texas Tech QB Davis Webb injured in loss to Oklahoma Stat

Oklahoma State's 45-35 win over Texas Tech on Thursday night was nothing if not entertaining for most fans considering there was more than 1,000 yards of total offense in the contest. However, for those that root for Texas Tech, the lo s was nothing but concerning. As if the defense getting torched deep time after time wasn't bad enough, starting quarterback Davis Webb left the game in the fourth quarter with an injury and failed to return to action.Team doctors Vinnie Sunseri Jersey would not allow Webb to play after he was taken into the locker room, according to a sideline report from the ESPN broadcast of the game. Red radio network sideline reporter Webb suffered a dislocated shoulder on his non-throwing arm.Prior to his injury, Webb basically was the entire Texas Tech offense. He finished the night 35-for-54, with 374 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. The signal-caller was later seen encouraging teammates on the sidelines and coaching backup Patrick Mahomes, a true freshman. The 6-foot-5, 209-pound Webb was expected to challenge Baylor's Bryce Petty and Oklahoma's Trevor Knight for first-team All-Big 12 honors this year. The sophomore led Texas Tech to an upset win over a highly ranked Arizona State team in the Holiday Bowl last season and was seen by many as one of the rising stars at the quarterback position after a stint as a college counselor at the Elite 11 quarterback competition over the summer. The know all too well what it's like to operate with a backup quarterback as they played their second game without former starter J.W. Walsh, who is out for the season after having surgery. Daxx Garman ended up throwing two interceptions on Thursday but still had a solid game, posting 370 yards through the air and scoring five total touchdowns.Oklahoma State speedster Tyreek Hill had a relatively quiet night by his standards. Considered one of the fastest players in college football, Hill scored on a 50-yard bomb but was held to le s than 100 yards of total offense on just nine touches. The 24th-ranked walked away with a key Big 12 win on Thursday night but the real story came on the opposing sidelines with the health of Webb's shoulder being a key storyline going forward for Texas Tech. You can follow Bryan Fischer on Twitter at . The 2022 NFL Draft has taken a back seat to NFL free agency for a little while. Before teams around the league settle on their prospect rankings and round-by-round plan of action in late April, many have gotten a good start addre sing their needs going into next season and beyond in mid March. Others have taken more personnel hits. The three biggest changes involve the Chiefs, Packers and Texans, as well as the Raiders and Browns. While Kansas City, Green Bay, Houston are now picking twice after the Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams and Deshaun Watson trades, neither Las Vegas nor Cleveland nor Miami will go on the clock on April 28. Before expanding back into two and three rounds again, that means Sporting News has to reset the mock draft table with updated first-round projections based on the recent developments involving re-signings, signings and trades. Here's how SN now sees things going from No. 1 to No. 32: BIG BOARD: 1. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-14) Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan (6-6, 260 pounds) The Jaguars have been very aggre sive rebuilding their defense on every level in free agency, which is definitely setting up having Hutchinson's relentle s and explosive pa s-rushing as their cornerstone to make everyone else better. 2. Detroit Lions (3-13-1) Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame (6-4, 220 pounds) The Lions are prime candidates to trade down now given they also hold No. 32 later in the first round and would benefit from stockpiling picks to build on overall team needs. Should they stay, Hamilton makes the most sense as an immediate impact player to clean up the back end of Aaron Glenn's defense. 3. Houston Texans (4-13) Ickey Ekwonu, OT/G, NC State (6-4, 310 pounds) The Texans are keeping Laremy Tunsil for now on a restructured contract but still need some more juice and pop from their offensive line and Ekwonu can be a strong, powerful and nasty anchor playing either outside or inside for a long time. MORE: 4. New York Jets (4-13) Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon(6-4, 254 pounds) The Jets should be thrilled if Thibodeaux slips here to become the explosive cornerstone pa s-rusher for coach Robert Saleh, which will remind him of having Nick Bosa powering his defense in San Francisco. This makes great sense as the follow-up high first-rounder to quarterback Zach Wilson. 5. New York Giants (4-13) Evan Neal, OT, Alabama (6-7, 337 pounds) The Giants have hacked away on their offensive line by getting new interior starting options in Matt Gono, Jon Feliciano and Mark Glowinski. They also parted ways with Nate Solder. They need a rock of an all-around South America Jersey tackle to complement the edge blocking of first-rounder Andrew Thomas. Neal fits the bill for former Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. 6. Carolina Panthers (5-12) Charles Cro s, OT, Mi si sippi State (6-5, 307 pounds) The Panthers may opt to not to take a quarterback early and instead addre s their biggest offensive weakne s overall. Cro s is a similar strength-power prospect to Ekwonu with his own mean and nasty blocking style. He has untapped upside with his footwork and agility. 7. New York Giants (from Chicago Bears) Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU (6-1, 195 pounds) Stingley is in play for this pick with the rumors the Giants are trying to move James Bradberry and his big contract under new GM Joe Scoen. Stingley is a big and long dynamic cover man and elite on-ball playmaking skills in the Jalen Ramsey mold. 8. Atlanta Falcons (7-10) Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State (5-11, 183 pounds) The Falcons need to addre s wide receiver early now with Calvin Ridley suspended for 2022 and Ru sell Gage gone in free agency. Wilson will give Atlanta a bona fide new No. 1 wideout with hissmarts, quickne s, route-running and hands 9. Seattle Seahawks (from Denver Broncos) Malik Willis, QB, Liberty (6-0, 219 pounds) Willis proved he should be a top-10 pick for a QB needy team, which the Seahawks suddenly became after the blockbuster Ru sell Wilson trade that yielded this pick in return. Willis can be their new version of Wilson with a strong arm, fine athleticism and overall toughne s. MORE: 10. New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks) Sauce Gardner, CB, Cincinnati (6-2, 190 pounds) Saleh, should Thibodeaux land in New York to be his next Bosa, can also get his version of Richard Sherman on the field in this nasty, fearle s and now extremely speedy cover man. He would be a nice starting complement to new addition D.J. Reed. 11. Washington Commanders (7-10) Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa (6-7, 325 pounds) The Commanders are reshuffling the line at guard with Andrew Norwell replacing Brandon Scherff and Ereck Flowers being released. Left tackle Charles Leno Jr is coming off a strong season and Sam Cosmi is a good candidate to be either a strong swing backup or prepare to take over for Flowers. Penning, with natural strength and power for right tackle, also wowed with athleticism at the Combine and would be the best player available to boost new QB Carson Wentz. 12. Minnesota Vikings (8-9) Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa (6-2, 296 pounds) The Vikings must accept that Garrett Bradbury, who was benched last season, is a big bust at center. After hitting on left tackle Christian Darrisaw in last year's first round, Linderbaum makes good sense for new GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and offensive-minded head coach Kevin O'Connell. Linderbaum can dominate run blocking for Dalvin Cook and also connect well snapping to Kirk Cousins as a young leader of the offensive line. 13. Houston Texans (from Cleveland Browns) Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia (6-5, 272 pounds) Walker has proved to be versatile and explosive coming off a superstar Combine. He can line up anywhere on Houston's front for new defensive coordinator Smith and can be downright disruptive. This would be a great use of the pick acquired in the Watson trade. 14. Baltimore Ravens (8-9) David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan (6-5, 250 pounds) The Ravens love Odafe Oweh, their late first-rounder from 2021 and Ojabo is his best friend and also was inspired by his explosive, relentle s play in getting after the quarterback, a reason why he rose up boards fast through the Combine before suffering an Achilles' injury at his pro day. Baltimore can stash Ojabo for the future as an impactful situational pa s rusher at first. 15. Philadelphia Eagles (from Miami Dolphins) Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State (6-0, 187 pounds) The Eagles look like they hit on DeVonta Smith but they already made a big speed and quickne s whiff on Jalen Reagor in the first round. They can make amends by getting the polished and smooth Olave to play off Smith and take the pa sing game to a much higher level with Jalen Hurts. MORE: 16. Philadelphia Eagles (from Indianapolis Colts) George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue (6-4, 266 pounds) The Eagles have some i sues at defensive end with Brandon Graham coming off a torn Achilles' at 33, Josh Sweat being ineffective and Derek Barnett not re-signed as a free agent. They can put this different "Greek freak" in green to boost their versatile front after adding Haason Reddick as a linebacker hybrid in free agency. 17. Los Angeles Chargers (9-8) Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia (6-6, 340 pounds) The Chargers need to upgrade their run defense big time. Their entire front three struggled in that capacity. Coach Brandon Staley was used to having Aaron Donald as his 3-4 linchpin with the other Los Angeles team. Davis is a ma sive player who disrupts plays with great quickne s for his size and is a good complement to new addition Sebastian Joseph-Day. 18. New Orleans Saints (9-8) Kenny Pickett, QB Pittsburgh (6-3, 217 pounds) The Saints may be thinking differently about QB with concerns about Jameis Winston coming off a major knee injury and Taysom Hill's pa sing limitations and wide receiver isn't so big of an i sue with Michael Thomas back in the fold. Pickett has the right solid all-around arm, accuracy, makeup and athleticism to fare well in Pete Carmichael's system as the true succe sor to Drew Brees. 19. Philadelphia Eagles (9-8) Devonte Wyatt, DE/DT, Georgia (6-3, 304 pounds) The Eagles might bring back released Fletcher Cox on a restructured contract but they also know he's 31 and will start to fade as an impact player up front soon. Wyatt's hybrid nature of being able to play all line positions fits their need to a tee. 20. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7-1) Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati (6-3, 211 pounds) The Steelers cannot me s around with Mitchell Trubisky being more than a veteran bridge contingency and upgrade over Mason Rudolph. They could think offensive line here, but Ridder's experience, leadership, strong arm and sometimes dazzling athleticism provides the ideal makeup for Mike Tomlin's next playmaking leader to replace Ben Roethlisberger. 21. New England Patriots (10-7) Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia (5-11, 229 pounds) Dean has rangy athleticism that allow him fly sideline-to-sideline to make plays. He has coverage and blitz versatility to please Bill Belichick as his replacement defensive leader for Dont'a Hightower. BIGGEST NFL DRAFT STEALS: | | | 22. Green Bay Packers (from Raiders) Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama (6-1, 179 pounds) The Packers need to be on high alert for wide receivers after the shocking Davante Adams trade to the Raiders that got them this second, earlier first-rounder. Williams is a technically sound No. 1 with good hands and flat-out big-play ability to play well off Aaron Rodgers' big arm. 23. Arizona Cardinals (11-6) Jermaine Johnson II, EDGE, Florida State (6-5, 254 pounds) The Cardinals didn't re-sign Chandler Jones so this would be a nice pivot to maintain the strength of their pa s rush. Johnson has flashed some welcome freakish qualities but more have gotten to see the all-around substance to his game. 24. Dallas Cowboys (12-5) Kenyon Green, G, Texas A&M (6-4, 323 pounds) The Cowboys needed to let Connor Williams leave in free agency and also release La'el Collins. Green would be the ideal strong and athleticism replacement for their scheme to support Tyler Biadasz and Zack Martin inside. 25. Buffalo Bills (11-6) Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington (5-10, 193 pounds) The Bills need a good No. 2 corner to Tre'Davious White after losing Levi Wallace in free agency and White will be coming off a torn ACL for his Age 27 season. With limited weakne ses as Super Bowl contenders and armed with Von Miller in the edge pa s rush, they should look for a direct replacement for Wallace outside.McDuffie can offergreat explosivene s and quickne s for Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier. 26. Tenne see Titans (12-5) Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah (6-3, 237 pounds) Lloyd is like Dean in the fact he covers a lot of ground but it's his special skills vs. the pa s that stand out as both a cover man and blitzer. The Titans re-signed outside linebacker Harold Landry before he got to free agency but could use a strong anchor inside to clean up against run and pa s. 27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (13-4) Lewis Cine, S, Georgia (6-1, 200 pounds) The Buccaneers were in line to reach a little for.a quarterback had Tom Brady stayed retired, but now with Brady back they can go after a replacement for free-agent departure Jordan Whitehead next to Antoine Winfield Jr. Cine can smack around players and intimidate, but he also has underrated coverage skills along with ace athleticism. MORE: 28. Green Bay Packers (13-4) Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas (6-2, 225 pounds) The Packers should think about doubling down on wide receiver early and the combination of Williams and Burks can make Rodgers very happy after losing Adams. Burks is a huge target with reliable big hands to match. He profiles a little like Adams but a lot more like Deebo Samuel. 29. Kansas City Chiefs (from 49ers through Dolphins) Boye Mafe, EDGE, Minnesota (6-3, 261 pounds) The Chiefs worked it out to keep Frank Clark but still need reinforcements in the edge pa s rush with Melvin Ingram unsigned. Mafe has been an astronomical riser because of recent showcases of his explosivene s as a pa s rusher with top-flight athleticism. 30. Kansas City Chiefs Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State (5-11, 184 pounds) The Chiefs need to replace Tyreek Hill after trading him to the Dolphins for the previous pick and many more and cannot count on Mecole Hardman thriving in an expanded big-play role alone. Dotson, with his speed to get deep and quickne s after the catch, is the perfect vertical and horizontal succe sor to please the big arm of Patrick Mahomes. 31. Cincinnati Bengals (10-7) Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson (6-0, 194 pounds) The Bengals have Chidobe Awuzie and Mike Hilton at cornerback but need to keep building young depth there after seeing Eli Apple's struggles in coverage. Booth's size, strength and aggre sive would give them more big-play potential on the back end. 32. Detroit Lions (from Los Angeles Rams) Matt Corral, QB, Ole Mi s (6-1, 212 pounds) After getting Hamilton to make their defense more impactful, the Lions should turn their attention toward addre sing franchise QB. Corral makes the most sense here with Ridder off the board. Denmark Jersey
