Free agency prediction reveals hidden gem at running back for Bronco

In just one week, NFL teams will be able to begin negotiating with pending unrestricted free agents. The league year officially kicks off on March 11 and teams will be able to sign deals with those players at that point. For the , bringing in a new running back should be one of the team's top priorities in free agency. There are several big Juice Scruggs Jersey names available, including Breece Hall, Kenneth Walker and Travis Etienne. There are other names out there, such as Rico Dowdle and Isaiah Pacheco, as well. But one free agent in particular could be one of the best bargains on the entire market this year, at any position. predicts that free-agent running back Tyler Allgeier may be disappointed with the potential contract he receives. "Tyler Allgeier has been unimpre sive in a pa s-catching role. Even before the drafted Bijan Robinson in 2023, they rarely designed plays for him in the short pa sing game. He has 18 or fewer receptions in all four of his seasons", wrote Moton, in part. Moton points out Allgeier's deficiencies in the pa sing game, but in Denver, that wouldn't be a problem. The Broncos have RJ Harvey, who proved as a rookie that he can be one of the best receiving running backs in the league. Signing Allgeier would give the Broncos the balanced one-two combination that they didn't have in the playoffs this past year. That would have made a world of difference and po sibly put them in the Super Bowl. But that isn't even the best part. If the Broncos could sign Allgeier to a lower-cost contract than the names listed above, they could also have the funds available to bring back J.K. Dobbins as well. Dobbins performed quite well for the Broncos last season before a foot injury sent him to injured reserve. But that is the knock on Dobbins: he has proven unable to stay healthy. If the Broncos were to get these players on a two-for-one deal, that might be the best po sible route to take this offseason. MORE: Landing one of the top names at running back is exciting, but a trio of Allgeier, Harvey and Dobbins is more in line with the kind of offensive backfield that Sean Payton likes to work with.
