  1. The Brown family has been about as synonymous with football in the state of Ohio as any name out there.Paul Brown was Ohio State's coach for several years and won a national championship, co-founded and coached the Browns a team named after him for 17 years to three NFL championships, and founded and coached the Bengals for eight years. When he died in 1991, his son, Mike Brown, inherited ownership of the team and has remained the owner and team president ever since. He named the stadium after his dad Cassius Stanley Jersey Paul Brown Stadium in 2000, and has now overseen the team's first trip to the Super Bowl since his father was the owner.Unlike other owners, Mike Brown has not made money outside of running the NFL franchise he owns. How much money has that been? that Brown, based on Forbes data from 2015, has a net worth of $925 million. It has been several years since the report so there could be some variance, however. That number, adjusted for inflation, would be about $1.09 billion., the Bengals, as a franchise, are valued at $2.275 billion, which is actually the second-lowest valuation of any NFL team. Back in 2015, they were valued at just $990 million. Needle s to say, Brown's net worth has likely climbed in the years since that last valuation.By comparison, Rams' owner Stan Kroenke, the owner of Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, has a net worth of $10.7 billion, .Brown has not only been the team's owner, but the team's de facto general manager since taking over the team in 1991.Brown's hands-on approach with the team has led to one of the smallest front office staffs in the NFL. , it has the smallest personnel department in the NFL with only eight people in the department and just six fully entrenched scouts. By comparison, the Rams have 26 people in the player personnel department and the league average is 21.The executive staff consists of Katie Blackburn, Brown's daughter; Troy Blackburn, Brown's son-in-law; and Paul Brown, Brown's son. Katie Blackburn is the executive vice president, Troy Blackburn is a vice president, and Paul Brown is the vice president of player personnel. T. J. Leaf Jersey
  2. Seven weeks into the NFL season is long enough to take a hard left turn. Teams like the who started off promising have swerved toward disaster. The opposite also remains true: The and have real hope Monday morning after suffering through brutal Septembers.Let's take a look at three teams that should be feeling good after Sunday's action, and teams that have taken a turn for the worse. We'll start with teams Tyler Lydon Jersey on the upswing: New Orleans SaintsThe division is all but out of reach with the second place by three games. But a potentially lost season feels reborn after succe sive convincing victories over the and . The ' defense is never going to be dominant, but they are figuring out how to cover up their weakne ses better. is suddenly having his best season and the secondary has turned competent lately. The defense is young and has a chance to improve. The real hope here is the schedule. This week's "homecoming" for defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is the toughest matchup the have until November. They also have games against Tampa, Detroit and Jacksonville in December. After some admittedly premature , it's very easy to imagine this team having a winning record entering the home stretch. That should be good enough to stay within striking distance of the . Oakland Raiders against San Diego was a fork in the road game for both teams. There is room for a second AFC West team to contend for a wild card spot, and the improbably have shown they will be that team. has been one of the steadier quarterbacks in the league. and form a terrific pa s rush duo. This might not be a playoff team yet, but they're only one spot out of a playoff spot through six weeks and should hover around .500 all season. Miami DolphinsDan Campbell is a leader and a philosopher. "You transferred energy without physically even touching them ... and things like that happen, guys," Campbell told his team in the locker room after their latest destruction of an AFC South opponent. The will have to get back to playing legitimate teams again starting Thursday night in Foxborough versus the , but there's no doubt that the talent in Miami is showing itself again. The e sentially added one of the league's best pa s rushers and one of the best left tackles during their bye week when and returned to health. Campbell smartly committed to as an every-down player at receiver, ignoring the pedigree of and . All jokes aside about the AFC South, the ability to blow out lackluster teams is a consistent sign of a playoff contender. But the schedule could be tricky to navigate because Miami already lost two home division games including a "home" game in London. The also look more like a legitimate top-shelf NFL team every week, so pa sing them for second place in the AFC East will be difficult.Unle s the can win in Foxborough on Thursday, they will be 3-4 and headed to Buffalo. That Week 9 game with the could feel like an elimination game for relevance in the AFC East. Speaking of which ... Teams on the Downswing:Buffalo BillsThey have plenty of legitimate excuses. The haven't been able to field their best team because of injuries to , , , and at various points in the season. was a huge step-down from , who should be back after the team's bye. With all that said, the have already lost three games at home. They haven't been particularly competitive with the league's best like Cincinnati and New England. Rex Ryan didn't even seem that angry after losing to the ; . Their defense hasn't been nearly as good as the sum of its parts. This was a team with playoff expectations, yet their first game back from the bye feels like a "must win." Last place in the AFC East at midseason is nearly a death sentence because they'll have almost no margin for error in the second half and a tricky schedule to navigate. San Diego ChargersThe schedule is forgiving. The don't play any team that currently has more than two wins until December. That gives a chance to go on one of his patented runs, and there is enough talent around him to pull off the improbable. The just have to come to terms with the reality that they look like an easy game on the schedule, too. Trailing 37-6 at home against the after three quarters should have been a humbling moment. We've never seen Mike McCoy so angry after a lo s. Their big budget defensive players (, , Eri Weddle, , ) are not living up to their contracts. San Diego's home games are increasingly depre sing, and the po sible relocation to Los Angeles has infected the season. We've seen . We hope that doesn't happen here. Dallas Cowboys felt like an improvement on , yet he still threw three interceptions against New York. had his rejuvenation game and the still lost their fourth-straight contest. It's almost certain they will find a way to lose the fifth straight against Seattle, which would put them at 2-5. The defense certainly looks improved and healthier, but it's not going to mean much without getting some wins. Bonus Faller: Atlanta FalconsThe are coming off their sixth win Sunday in Tenne see, yet there are signs for concern. The pa sing game somehow looks worse than it did a year ago despite the great record. The pa s rush is also not any better. There are only three games left against teams with a winning record, but the look capable of losing to just about any team. (And beating any team.) That's just the kind of team this squad is, with very little separating them and a 3-4 squad. They were before the ugly game in Tenne see. In short: If the make the playoffs, expect a bumpy ride on the way there. Don't be surprised if they come back to the back. Vlatko CanCar Jersey
  3. Don Yee has ideas. The longtime NFL agent, who was on the cusp of launching a potential developmental league prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, can't stop thinking. For decades he has been contemplating the inefficiencies in the NFL's player development model, and the glaring exploitation of players in the NCAA's multi-billion dollar monopoly (which serves at its de-facto feeder system), seeking ways to give these talented young men better options.Last season, while preparing for the launch of Pacific Pro Football -- which was to be a feeder-league option for the NFL -- he ran a series of heavily-scouted, in-season camps for young free agents (nearly half of the participants ended up on rosters somewhere). In no way did the demise of Pac Pro (the league was thisclose to landing funding from a current pro sports team owner pre-pandemic) impede his vision to find a means to serve as a conduit between young, ascending college-aged talent and the NFL executives he has built strong relationships with throughout his profe sional career. With that in mind, today Yee formally announced his latest initiative, HUB Football (), pivoting off the Pac Pro concept to find alternative means to be a headhunter of sorts for these players who have fallen through the cracks. Especially now, with clubs hesitant to bring in free agents for workouts and with the month-long shutdown of NFL travel and lack of pro days and the collapse of the XFL and AAF creating more of a void, several league sources indicated that Yee's idea is drawing rave reviews from evaluators and GMs, with the opportunity to transform the current model of player development."HUB aims to be the solution customized to the needs of NFL teams, elite players, and their agents," Yee said. "Right now, no product like this exists in the marketplace, which is unusual. It's the right time for innovation in profe sional football."We hope we can help the product quality at the profe sional football level; that is our aim, and we want to give players and their families a new tool to use to curate J.R. Smith Jersey their own profe sional and developmental path. They've been powerle s for too long."Which teams will have a breakout offense in 2020? And what will ' opt-out mean for the ? Ryan Wilson and Tyler Sullivan join host Will Brinson on the Pick Six Podcast to break it all down; listen below and for daily NFL goodne s.Sources said HUB already has numerous NFL teams committed as clients. It will be a subscription scouting service of sorts, serving the young free agent pool the way National Football Scouting (which runs the combine) and BLESTO serve the pool of draft-ready players every year. HUB is based in Southern California and will develop two products -- THE CAMP and THE GAME -- totally customized to the specific needs of the NFL teams, these elite free agents and their agents, many of whom are le s experienced and lack the same contacts and resources that HUB po se ses.Think of it as a busine s-to-busine s product bringing these players and teams into closer contact, with HUB conducting a one-day, invitation-only camp -- dubbed THE CAMP -- for premier street free agents, where they will perform football drills designed to teach and showcase the players, while following all NFL protocols. This is similar to the two camps Pac Pro held in the fall of 2019. It will feature team scouts on sight, able to evaluate 25 or so players at one time, in a competitive setting. The first camp is projected for late September in Southern California.HUB will also host THE GAME to supplement the NCAA supply chain, which will be customized to what GMs and college scouts prize most in their scouting proce s. This will consist of two games each in June and July for eligible players -- players on the verge of entering the 2022 NFL draft, or even some who may not be eligible for the draft until 2023 or 2024. This will follow the template of the Senior Bowl, with an NFL-style week of meetings with teams and practices and interviews, culminating in a game with rule changes to make it safer (no blitzing, man-to-man defense, etc.), to highlight the very individual matchups that scouts so covet. This, too, will be invitation only, and, with players not being paid, in theory it should not impact the NCAA eligibility of younger participants. A player could opt to sit out his junior NCAA year and instead perform in THE GAME -- up to four times that spring -- then focus on school in the fall while preparing for the combine. Or an international rugby star might showcase himself in THE GAME before opting to sign with an NFL team."We already have commitments from multiple NFL teams to HUB, as clients, and we expect many more," Yee said. "We still are determining whether we will limit the product, however, to a certain number of teams in the league."With so many college conferences already cancelling their seasons due to COVID-19, and with the CFL on shaky footing, I'm told there is potential for HUB to host THE GAME as early as this December to fill what could be a huge scouting void. HUB also aims to connect with NFL teams to send some of their brighter young head coaching prospects to to serve as head coaches for THE GAME, showcasing them, as well -- particularly for women and coaches of color.Sources said HUB has been meeting with the NFL league office for years about different models; in the age of COVID-19, demand for a service like this is even higher. With college athletes finding their voice and beginning to understand their power and leverage, the NCAA model is under a very different attack; if players walk out, what happens next? There are major flaws already in the college model, and with a growing chasm between how many college programs play the game and what NFL teams expect, this is a unique time to begin providing alternatives."HUB can live side by side with NCAA football," Yee said, "no different (from) how minor league baseball and the G-League live side by side with the NCAA product. We hope to be a good partner and supplement to the football industry. I have spoken to numerous college football coaches, and they feel HUB can help improve the college game and its protocols as well."Now is the time to be considering different measures and embracing progre sive ideas, with the NFL set for what could be a season unlike anything we have seen, and with the future so uncertain for this sport on so many levels. It's not surprising that Yee is already ahead of the curve, and he will be the person spearheading measures like this.Consider that the NFL is the only major sports property in the world that does not have a hand in its emerging/ascending talent -- no reserve teams or youth teams or minor leagues of any sort. It needs development options for players, coaches and officials. College players are already skipping bowl games and are seeking alternatives. The college model exposes players to ma sive injury risks and clubs spend huge amounts of time and money scouting college players to be subject to the whims of 130 different Division I coaches as to how much acce s they get to those prospects.Potential sweeping disruptions to college and high school schedules due to the virus only heightens those i sues. Which means Yee's work is far from done, as he continues to apply his own brand of critical thinking to these many ongoing i sues."A lot of innovation is going to happen in the football industry," Yee said, "and HUB is just one example." 4. Group E concluded with the Netherlands topping the group with Japan finishing runners-up after Denmark lost a must-win game that sees them eliminated and failing to progre s from the World Cup group stages for the first time in their history.Denmark and Japan clashed in Rustenburg tonight with Morten Olsens Denmark side needing all three points to progre s to the last 16 stage of the World Cup.Denmark began the match as the brighter of the two teams as they displayed fluent pa sing and made it difficult for Japan to gain po se sion.12 minutes of Danish dominance would pa s before the games first opportunity and it fell to Japan when Makoto Hasebe was played through on goal but couldnt steer his shot on target as it flew wide.Denmark were asked questions and Jon Dahl Toma son came within inches of an answer as hecurled his short narrowly wide from an acute angle.Denmark conceded a free-kick 34 yards from goal in the 17th minute and what followed stunned spectators. Keisuke Hondas confidence in his ability was evident as he lined up a shot and his effort flew into the net past Thomas Sorenson whos positioning was questionable.Denmark looked for an immediate reply when Christian Poulsen played an over-the-top ball for Jon Dahl Toma son but the veteran striker could not get the touch that Willis Reed Jersey was needed to equalise. On the half-hourPer Kroldrup was the first Dane to be booked as he conceded a free-kick25 yards from goal which he would regret. Yasuhito Endo stood over the ball as Honda looked poised to strike the ball as had done thirteen minutes previousbut in a clever training-ground move Endo reacted quickly after the whistle and bent a superb free-kick around the wall past Sorenson who this time was blamele s.Jakob Poulsen was introduced on 34 minutes in place of Martin Jorgensen as Morten Olsen looked for his Danish side to score that all-important 3rd goal of the game before the half-time whistle but the whistle came first as Denmark went into the break knowing a drastic improvement was needed for the second-half.Denmark arrived out for the second-half five minutes before their opponents and Morten Olsens halftime talk was very nearly wasted when a Thomas Sorenson error almost gifted Japan a third three minutes after the restart. Denmark conceded a free-kick on the halfway line which Yasuhito Endo over-hit and Thomas Sorenson fumbled a simple catch which he redirected against his own post before Matsui blasted the rebound over the bar.Denmark looked to be developing a foothold with Jon Dahl Toma son coming close after Nicklas Bendtner flicked it on but Toma sons touch was heavy as his shot flew past the post and Thomas Kahlenbergs powerful long-range drive was pushed away by Eiji Kawashima.Second-half substitute Soren Larsen came closest for Denmark in the 79th minute when he controlled with his chest before turning well and firing a superb volley off the cro sbar.Moments after Larsens effortDenmark were awarded a penalty after Daniel Agger was bundled over in the area after a push from Japan captain Makoto Ha sebe. Jon Dahl Toma son made amends for several mi sed opportunities earlier in the game as he fortuitously converted the rebound after he saw his penalty saved by Eiji Kawashima. Toma sons goal equalled Denmarks all-time goalscoring record, little consolation to Toma son who knew his side would have to score twice in the remainingten minutes or Denmark would be heading home.Denmark had two penalty appeals waved away by the referee before Japan sealed the victory when Shinji Okazaki completed the scoring for Japan in the dying minutes after superb individual work from Honda who had turned Dennis Rommedahl which left him one-on-one with Thomas Sorenson before showing great awarene s and unselfishly pulled it back for Okazaki to tap home.Defeat for Denmark means they are eliminated and have failed to progre s from the World Cup group stages for the first time in their history while victory for Japan sends them through to the last 16 where Paraguay await them. 5. When a team excels its expectations and the fans taste succe s, the expectations for the future inevitably rise as well. This can often work against a club. Fans often have short memories and expect their team to continue to rise at a rate that just isnt po sible. These expectations are the reason why Tony Pulis has recently been defending his job at Stoke. Since their promotion is 2008, Stoke have reached an FA Cup Final and progre sed through the group stages of the Europa League. They have also consistently kept away from relegation scraps finishing between 11th and 14th since being in the Premiership. So what has given Stoke fans this reason to complain? A poor run of games and a simply uninspiring season has left the fans feeling a bit bored and feeling unrewarded. Stoke have failed to score an average of even 1 goal a game this season and havent been beating the big teams like they have in previous seasons. The philosophy at Stoke installed by Tony Pulis is what has carried Stoke into their succe sful era in the top flight. His Derrick Coleman Jersey tall players of who Sir Alex Ferguson called the jolly green giants have been the blueprint for a strong and defensive team. Goals have often come from set pieces but their shortage of goals comes from a lack of an attacking edge this season. Teams are beginning to understand and know what to expect when they play Stoke and Pulis has looked for a slightly different way to score goals this season. I think that is why he wanted Michael Owen, to get a different dimension to his attack but the gamble hasnt really worked. Pulis has defended his decision and I think with good reason, he surely will try and improve his teams attacking prowe s in the summer. He has tried to bring in controlling centre midfielders who can aid in defence and attack but the goals havent come. This may cause fan unrest but how a manager can be questioned when he has promoted the club and retained Premiership status convincingly is unbelievable. Being mid table is not glamorous and sometimes not very exciting but it brings a stability to a club that many other teams envy. Im sure big teams that have seen themselves play under par in recent years would like to see themselves in Stokes position, signing internationals and staying strong in the Premier league.Realistically, a team like Stoke should be very happy with their current situation and the stability is a great attribute of a club, not a failing. Though their season may seem a little lacklustre and may get very few headlines, having a strong position in the Premier League is what many Championship teams are aiming for. This is the goal for many clubs and now Stoke have it, there fans want more. Of course fans have the right to dream and want to see their club excel but they still need to hold realistic expectations. And this unrest should never be aimed towards the manager who gave them such ascendancy through the football league. James Harden Jersey
  6. linebacker Patrick Queen has been far from Onyeka Okongwu Jersey a revelation for the franchise upon joining in 2024. The LSU product has built a negative reputation for whiffing on routine tackles and for being below average in coverage in Pittsburgh. As a result, Queen has been surrounded by trade rumors since the start of the offseason. The catch is, the Steelers wont accept any offer for the 25-year-old, making it pivotal for interested franchises to put their best foot forward. According to a , the failed in that regard, leaving Pittsburgh no choice but to reject its disrespectful trade offer for Queen. Publicly, the Steelers have pushed back on the idea that Queen is on the trade block, Steeler Nations Anthony G. Halkias II stated Thursday. However, this time of year often brings mixed signals. The NFL is ultimately a busine s, and teams frequently weigh the benefits of moving veteran players with sizable contracts, especially when cap flexibility is at stake. Sources have now told Steeler Nation that Jerry Jones and the Cowboys reached out to Pittsburgh to inquire about a potential deal for Queen. However, their offer reportedly fell short of expectations, consisting of just a third-round pick. As flawed as Queen is at this stage of his career, hes worth more than one third-round pick. The Ventre s, a Louisiana native, can be highly effective as a run stopper and pa s rusher thanks to his impre sive side-to-side speed, tracking ability, and high motor. However, the Cowboys clearly disagree with that a se sment, leading them to lowball the Steelers for Queen. Perhaps another organization will provide Pittsburgh with an enticing enough trade package to make a deal come to fruition. More NFL: Skylar Mays Jersey

"A lot of people don't think 345-pound-plus guys can run to the ball, but they're wrong."Labeled by some before the draft as a two-down thumper, Shelton looks like an every-snap terror for a defense that used this offseason to fix a defense that finished last in the NFL against the run in 2014.Shelton is a sight for sore eyes in Cleveland, where the have ranked no higher than 18th against the run since returning to the NFL in 1999. Everybody talks about the decades-long quarterback void, but shoddy run-stoppage has been a quiet cancer from the start. Consider that Cleveland has finished 27th or worse in that category in 13 of the past 16 seasons. -- he takes on two offensive linemen every time," inside linebacker told Jones. 8. With testing numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine and this month's Pro Day circuit so much fresher in our minds, it is easy to fall into the trap of forgetting the more vital information learned from last year's college football season. It's important not to lose perspective on which prospects available in the 2024 NFL Draft are actually good football players rather than "just" exceptional athletes. The players listed below didn't nece sarily have poor workouts, but they've been somewhat overshadowed by others who performed better. As a result, these prospects are flying under the public radar, though scouts see them as potential starters likely to be available on the draft's second and third days.Players are listed alphabetically.ADVERTISEMENT 2024 NFL Draft prospect rankings | Top 10 QB prospects | Top 10 RB prospects | Top 10 WR prospects | Top 10 TE prospects | Top 10 OT prospects | Top 10 IOL prospects | Joel Klatt's mock draft1. running back His last name virtually guaranteed Allen would be the first player in this article, but he's the perfect player to lead things off. A relatively pedestrian workout at Isaac Okoro Jersey the Combine should not distract from the fact that this 6-foot-1, 235-pounder averaged a hearty 5.9 yards per carry and racked up a staggering 35 touchdowns in just three seasons of college football.Allen didn't run the 40-yard dash in Indianapolis. However, his 32" vertical jump and 9'9" broad jump were among the five worst results among running backs tested this year and suggest that his timed speed won't be much more impre sive. Allen is surprisingly quick, however. And, as his size and 26 repetitions of 225 pounds on the bench pre s (second among RBs tested in Indianapolis) suggest, he runs with excellent power.Allen isn't a fit for every offense, but he's among the best downhill backs in this cla s, projecting as a red-zone vulture at minimum and po sibly a team's bell-cow.2. edge rusher Among the year's biggest breakout stars, Booker went from a reserve at Minnesota to a First Team All-Big 12 selection for the in 2023, ranking third in the conference with eight sacks and totaling 12 tackles for lo s. The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder is cat-quick off the snap, showing the ability to beat tackles with a speed rush, as well as the arm length (33 7/8") and hand-eye coordination to la so ball-carriers even while being engaged with blockers. The workout in Indianapolis, however, wasn't as impre sive as his tape. Booker was clocked at just 4.79 seconds in the 40-yard dash significantly slower than top-rated edge rushers like (4.46), Penn State's (4.48) and Florida State's (4.58). In fact, no edge rusher of his size showed le s explosivene s in the 40 or the vertical jump (32.5") than Booker. There is no denying that Booker's disappointing workout is a red flag. He is just a redshirt sophomore with only one dominant season, after all. But in a cla s with more questions than answers among edge rushers, I would still be willing to gamble a pick on Day Two that his best football is still ahead of him.3. defensive lineman At 6-foot-3 and 283 pounds, Dorlus is considered by some to be a cla sic tweener. His workout at Lucas Oil Stadium suggested the same, as he posted below-average numbers in virtually every category. But turn on the tape and you'll see a versatile defender who recorded 23 tackles for lo s over the past three seasons and led all defensive linemen acro s the country with nine pa ses defended in 2023. I hate to mix my sports analogies, but too many of today's defensive linemen are sluggers who swing for the fences on each repetition. Dorlus is more of a contact hitter, who values a walk as much as a cla sic base hit up the middle. He is a cagey defender who times his rushes well and knows when to ease off, read the eyes of the quarterback and gets his long arms (33 ") in the air to tip pa ses for easy interception opportunities for teammates.4. Colorado State edge rusher Mohamed KamaraNot every underrated prospect in this draft struggled during the athletic testing at the combine. Kamara, in fact, was one of this year's best testers among edge rushers with his 10-yard split (1.58) and 40-yard dash (4.58) trailing only projected first-rounders Turner (1.54/4.46) and Robinson (1.54/4.48) and he finished top-five at the position in the bench pre s drill (21 reps), as well a test that neither of the latter two athletes elected to participate in at the combine.Kamara compiled 45.5 tackles for lo s over his college career, with 29.5 sacks and five forced fumbles. Sure, his production came against weaker competition than most and technically Kamara played five years with the , but even if we focus on the past three seasons, he easily out-produced Turner (32.5-22.5-2), Robinson (20-11.5-3) and virtually every other edge rusher in this cla s.So, what's the catch? Kamara is just over 6-foot-1 and weighed in at 248 pounds in Indianapolis. Further, he is more of a stand-up edge rusher than a traditional 4-3 defensive end. There will be all sorts of narratives used to explain away his production. Don't listen to them. Kamara happened to star in the Mountain West Conference. That won't keep him from earning a Day Two selection next month.5. Houston offensive tackle Patrick PaulLike Kamara, stereotyping le ser competition is, frankly, the only reason I can offer as to why Paul hasn't received more buzz in the build-up to the 2024 NFL draft. He's been starting at left tackle for Houston since 2019 and during that time has surrendered a total of five sacks, including one in each of the past two seasons. He starred at the Senior Bowl, which is no surprise given that he is a two-time team captain whose older brother (Chris) is currently in the NFL ().Paul has a pro-ready frame, checking in at the combine at 6-foot-7.5 and 331 pounds with a floor-scraping 36 " arm length. Better yet, he tested well, posting a quality time in the 40-yard dash (5.13 seconds). In fact, given his long arms, Paul's 30 repetitions in the bench pre s was one of the more impre sive athletic feats of this year's Combine.I've argued that . The depth of the position is one reason I can see as to why Paul isn't among the first 32 players off the board next month despite his relative lack of buzz.6. Washington wide receiver Ja'Lynn PolkThe only position in this cla s deeper than offensive tackle is wide receiver. I believe four wideouts Ohio State's ., Washington's and duo of and . are all virtual locks to be top-15 picks with All-Pro potential. The strongest argument for teams pa sing on them this early is the belief that so many other quality future NFL starters will still be available on Day Two and perhaps even into Day Three. One such prospect is Polk, Odunze's former teammate with the .At 6-foot-1 and 203 pounds, Polk is not particularly big. His 4.52-second 40-yard dash time is still very good for his size, however, and Polk showed off his explosivene s in the vertical (37.5") and broad jump (10'9"). Most importantly, his tape is full of catches made in the air and through contact, proving that he is a very good player and athlete. What I like most about Polk, however, is not just his cla sic combination of size, speed and hands, but his physicality and awarene s as a downfield blocker. Forgive the pun, but this Dawg showed some bite in his overall game not just as a pa s-catcher and history proves that those are the receivers who earn playing time early in their NFL careers.7. Illinois tight end Tip ReimanCherry-picking favorites among stellar offensive tackle and wide receivers cla ses is relatively easy. Reiman just mi sed the cut of my rankings of the but like Polk, he plays with a different degree of versatility, toughne s and pro-readine s than some of his flashier peers. The 6-foot-5, 271-pound Reiman quietly enjoyed one of the better all-around workouts at his position at this year's Combine, posting a quality 4.64-second time in the 40-yard dash with a 10'1" broad jump, 4.26-second short shuttle and 28 reps on the bench pre s more than 24 offensive and defensive linemen. The strength wasn't surprising to scouts as the burly Reiman is widely viewed as one of this year's top blocking tight ends. He wasn't featured much as a pa s catcher at Illinois, corralling just 19 pa ses each of the past two seasons. His testing numbers at the Combine indicate untapped potential, suggesting that, like many of the other players on this list, this former walk-on has a bright future in the NFL.Rob Rang is an NFL Draft analyst for FOX Sports. 9. Even though they limped over the finishing line in the race to South Africa, Argentina remain formidable opposition, and a team many will want to avoid this summer. Pivotal to their aspirations is Lionel Me si, whose style and unquestionable status as the worlds best player today have drawn many comparisons with el Diego in his prime, the current national head coach. Yet despite their plethora of flair, Argentina, like many of the World Cups hopefuls, have been devoid of a truly world cla s striker for a number of years. In South Africa, Carlos Tevez has a prime opportunity to banish the doubts, lingering after a season at Old Trafford very much on the periphery. His form at Manchester City this season suggests he is ready to mature as a genuine first rate striker, and at the same time move away from his workman-like status, fostering his own resemblance with Diego Maradona. You could be forgiven for thinking Carlos Tevez was British; pundits give him all the accolade of one of our boys for his relentle s work ethic and attitude. It Thaddeus Young Jersey is an appealing angle for lazy journalists too; the rags-to-riches story about the boy from Buenos Aires who hasnt lost his fighting spirit has been wheeled out too often. Focusing on this attribute also takes away from others, of which there are many. Tevezs goals to games ratio this season is 19 in 30 games, marginally worse than trailblazers Rooney and Drogba. He has a tendency to score important goals; he has already notched up against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United this season. He can also tackle, is unselfish in front of goal, and can create opportunities for others.Ironically though, for all of his talents, it is his work ethic which has been most endearing to the British public. Forced to play fourth fiddle last season with Ronaldo, Rooney and Berbatov all preferred, he only managed five league goals in his final season with Manchester United, yet the fans support never wavered with his work ethic shining through. Similarly at West Ham, a combination of hard work and vital goals saw West Ham avoid relegation, and in turn Tevez was voted the Hammers player of the season. With Tevezs attitude and stocky physique, comparisons with Maradona were inevitable. It is only this season however that his other talents have, rightly, come to be recognised. For all their fallacies, with Maradona maybe their main culprit, Argentina still have reason to hope they may be celebrating this summer. If Tevez can take his underrated goal-scoring abilities and merge them with his over-emphasised, and Diego like attitude in South Africa this summer, few teams will beat Argentina. Kris Dunn Jersey

From the quarterback trying to improve his pocket presence by , to questions about how the offense will or will not be tailored to Kaepernick's athletic skill set, it's an offseason of question marks. At least one teammate believes the young signal-caller needs to tune everything out and play his way. "To be honest with you I think he just has to block out everything else around him, stop listening to what people want, what people have to say about you, stop listening to what people want to see you do and just be yourself," receiver said Wednesday on SiriusXM NFL Radio, via . "I think sometimes when you try to go off the suggestions of other people and try to please other people, you forget who you are and what got you there. I think if he just goes out and (is) himself, he'll be just fine. And that's the thing I try to tell him. 'Go out and be Kap. Don't try to go out and be anybody else because that isn't what got you to this point.' " This suggestion seems to sit in stark contrast to Kaepernick's own desire to refine and improve his pocket presence during the offseason. It's also likely that Boldin is talking about the fan and media noise regarding the quarterback's inconsistent play recently. "I try to rea sure him that he's good enough to be in the NFL," Boldin said. "I saw him. I played against him in the , so I know that he's talented enough to be in this league and to play well in this league. Barber said on CBS Sports Gabe Vincent Jersey Radio/CBS Sports Network earlier in the week which elicited several responses from Barkley himself and the Giants coaching staff. Barber didn't back down from his comments on the "Tiki and Tierney" show on CBS Sports Radio/CBS Sports Network on Thursday, explaining how he was criticized for fumbling i sues earlier in his Giants career before learning how to hold the ball differently and changing up his running style."I've been asked if I'm going to reach out to Saquon (to help him work on his blocking). No, I'm not his coach," Barber said on CBS Sports Radio/CBS Sports Network. "I hearken this back to when I had fumbling i sues and a media member sat down with me and said 'Tiki, you have a fumbling problem and I'm going to write about it.' And I was like 'what the hell are you talking about?' He made me aware of it."I wasn't even thinking about it or really aware of it. It was alarming, but it rose my awarene s about it and made me self-conscious about it. I didn't know how to fix it and it continued for a couple years until Tom Coughlin and my RB coach Jerald Ingram came in. You need your coach to help you do that. It would be wrong for me to try and help Saquon fix this. It's his coach's job to fix it just like it was Gerald Ingram's job to fix my fumbling i sue."Barkley didn't shrug off Barber's initial comments when asked about them on Thursday, but the Pro Bowl running back made clear where he stood regarding the constructive criticism."I'm not going to look at it as disrespect, I'm going to look at it as a challenge," Barkley said. "Same thing with him, like everyone else, I really don't care about outside opinions. I'm really focused about the opinions in this building. Try to come to work every single day and get better."Barkley did not have the best opener for the Giants, finishing with 15 carries for 6 yards and six receptions for 60 yards. The running back was partially responsible for the three sacks and multiple hits Giants quarterback took during Monday's lo s to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but New York certainly has offensive line i sues that are a bigger concern than Barkley's struggles in pa s protection.Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett saw some good and some bad when it came to Barkley's pa s protection in Week 1."One of the things we love about Saquon is his desire to be a complete back," Garrett said. "That's running the football, both inside and outside, as a pa s receiver and also as a pa s protector. Having said that, he can improve in all areas. That's something that we like so much about him, is his desire to come in and get better and strive to be a complete back."There were some examples of him blocking well in the pa sing game the other night. There were some examples of him not blocking as well as he needs to. He knows that. We're working on that, we're trying to get him better in that area. But we love his approach, we love his desire to be a complete back, and that's going to help him and our team going forward."Barber is hoping to bring awarene s that will spur Barkley toimprove as a football player and there is nothing more to it."I don't point this out because I want to crap on Saquon. I think he has a desire and the ability to be one of the greatest RBs in the history of the NFL. But in order to do that, you have to be reliable in every aspect of what they ask you to do," Barber said. "I remember (early in my career) my coach telling me, 'If you can't protect your quarterback, if it doesn't pi s you off when your QB gets hit under the chin by that linebacker that you were supposed to block, if that doesn't pi s you off more than getting a negative-yard run, then you're not the right teammate.'""At the end of the day, my opinion doesn't matter. ... My job as an analyst is to point out what I see and it's what I've seen. It's his coach's job and his job to fix it, and I'm positive that he will. I'm absolutely positive that he will." 14. Kelly, the former Oregon coach, could unite with a former Ducks QB who feels comfortable doing the things a Kelly offense requires, and Kelly won't have to use an early pick to get him. Adams, who transferred from FCS program Eastern Washington to Oregon for his final collegiate season, isn't among the most highly rated QBs available this year. He's undersized, measuring in at 5-foot-10 7/8 on Wednesday, but he has his backers, including .Adams has been compared to QB , who fell in the draft because he lacks ideal size. Adams, wisely, fully embraces that comp, calling it a "ble sing" on Wednesday.Could uniting with Kelly be a similarly favorable development for Adams? GM Trent Baalke said Wednesday that he "absolutely" expects to be on San Francisco's roster next season and it doesn't seem like the team is ready . That doesn't mean the door is shut on adding a young QB to the mix, though."I'm such a football junkie. I just love football so much," Adams said. "I understand the game. I understand coverages. I understand defensive schemes, all that. I just love to learn football."Sounds like the type of player Kelly might like to mold.Follow College Football 24/7 on Twitter __. Jaylen Adams Jersey

Jones hasn't topped that total since Week 2, and the Eagles pa s rush should make things difficult for him all night. He's only had three pa sing TDs all year and just one since Week 1, so the Under on 1.5 would be worth considering as well. Jones has also rolled up at least 45 rushing yards in three of his last four games and Philadelphia struggled to contain last week, so Over 28.5 rushing yards may be the strongest play of the bunch. Remember the Eagles will be without Miles Sanders, so Wentz may have to create more yards on the ground than he would otherwise. The Over on 34.5 attempts also looks like a strong play as they've routinely had to throw the ball more than that all year. While this matchup could be different if they can get out to a lead against a bad team, it's also po sible that the Eagles dial up more short pa ses as an extension of the run game with their star back sidelined and the offensive line in tatters.DFS millionaire Mike McClure shared his top NFL DFS lineups for the Giants vs. Eagles on Thursday Night Football, and . More props to consider Over 34.5 receiving yardsThe Eagles have been taking shots downfield despite their i sues on the O-line, and Wentz has connected on a long pa s of at least 35 yards in each of his last three games. With dealing with drops, isn't Jackson the perfect candidate to take over that deep role in his first game back? I don't think he even has to play the entire game to hit this number, and the targets should be there whenever he's on the field. Over 4.5 receptions (-120)Fulgham has become the focal point of the pa sing offense over the last two weeks, racking up 16 receptions on 23 targets in that span. The return of Jackson is more than balanced out by the lo s of Sanders and Zach Ertz in this offense. I think Fulgham will be the guy the Eagles lean on in the short and intermediate part of the field on Thursday night, and five receptions seems more likely to hit than not if that's the case. Under 49.5 receiving yardsThis might be a little counterintuitive -- who else is Jones going to throw to? But Slayton's been limited in practice all week due to a foot injury, and that could limit his effectivene s against a solid Eagles secondary. Were going to keep chopping wood and eventually were going to bust through. For the Panthers, Tabor said, knowing theyve been eliminated from playoff contention is extremely hard. But he added, you have two choices: character or compromise. When I lay my head down at night, I like to think I know who I am, Tabor added. Did I do an honest days work? I think that is how you have to look at it. I dont think about the record -- that is way past. Im just thinking about what are we doing to set ourselves up to win.The Saints spent much of this week unsure whether Carr or backup Jameis Winston would be their starting QB on Sunday. Carr, who last Sunday has his second concu sions in the span of 22 days, was permitted to practice on a limited basis this week, but remained in the concu sion protocol as the weekend neared. The only uncertainty at QB for the Panthers was when their top draft choice might have his first true breakout game. Young has yet to throw for as many as 250 yards in a game and has thrown as many interceptions as touchdown pa ses with nine each.At any given moment, Bryce Young could have that spark, so I dont think were nece sarily looking at the record," Saints safety Tyrann Mathieu said. "Were just looking at it like, Man, weve got to beat these guys.'PREPARING FOR 3 QBSTabor his team is preparing for both Carr and Winston. Were not for sure which one its going to be, Tabor said. Youre talking about two seasoned veterans that have won a lot of football games, played in a lot of big games that can get streaky at any time.Tabor seems equally concerned with the versatile Taysom Hill. Lining up intermittently at QB, Hill ran nine times for 75 yards in New Orleans 20-17 win over Carolina in Week 2.You always talk about value on a roster, Tabor said. Think about this: a quarterback, a guy that returns kicks, a guy that blocks kicks, a guy that runs wildcat. You know what he is? Hes a football player, a really good football player, and he causes a lot of problems not only for us.YOUNG STAYING FOCUSEDYoung is 1-10 as a starter and has been sacked 44 times. But the No. 1 overall draft choice out of Alabama is trying to remain steady in his daily approach.Just being consistent in what youre doing and not being results-based, Young said. Again, its hard, and it is a results-based busine s. So, you accept that, but you cant let the results change your proce s. There are circumstances you cant control or, if things are going bad, you cant do le s, you cant care le s, you cant focus le s, you cant give le s.ON THE ROAD AGAINThe Panthers are winle s on the road this season and havent won away from home since the 2018 regular-season finale at New Orleans, when Eddy Pineiro was carried off the field after making the winning kick in a 10-7 victory. To win on the road, I mean, the secret is, its not a big secret (if) you want to win on the road, pack a good team, Tabor said.WEAKNESS VS. STRENGTH Mathieu suspects this matchup could test New Orleans' defense, which this season ranks 24th against the run and has struggled with quarterbacks such as Young who escape the pocket with regularity. The Panthers "do a lot of things well that we don't nece sarily (defend) well, Mathieu said, alluding to the emergence this season of Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard. They run the ball well," Mathieu added. "Obviously you have Bryce Young, who's able to not just throw the ball but be effective with his legs. He was able to kind of break free a few times when we played them earlier.___AP NFL: Kyle Korver Jersey
  21. One of the Monday night ended just before midnight with the beating the to clinch a playoff berth. That wasn't only AFC postseason ramification to emerge from an overtime cla sic featuring more on the line than any other 2015 matchup. Here is you need to know from the game:With the victory, the avoided free-falling out of the playoffs and kept control of the AFC West. They now can clinch the division and a playoff bye next week with a home victory over the four-win .We wouldn't quite hand the the division just yet. San Diego has played better the last two weeks and Denver did slip up recently in a home lo s to Oakland. But fans have to feel a lot better than they did when they were trailing 14-0 to the on Monday night. The mi sed a golden opportunity to make the Divisional Round after failing to build on a two-touchdown lead. Cincinnati no longer has a chance to win the No. 1 seed in the AFC. That's especially damaging because to play on Wild Card Weekend. would wind up winning a playoff game before Dalton. The could still win a playoff bye, however, if they beat the next week and the slip up against San Diego. If nothing else, perhaps mi sing the bye gives Marvin Lewis a better chance to end his playoff drought. The Jacob Barnes Jersey narrowly mi sed jumping into first place in the AFC West because of the ' lo s. They remain in the No. 5 slot and could still take the division if they win and the lose. Kansas City's home game against the starts at the same time as -, so the need to play to win.! Part One of their 10-part dream to win the AFC South came to fruition with the ' win. Unfortunately, Indianapolis might have to start at quarterback against Tenne see in the season finale. The , meanwhile, presumably will play to win next week with the division not technically clinched yet. It's a weird situation. The had roughly a 3,300-to-1 chance to win the division before Monday night's game. The ' win increases that slightly, but it's a bizarre situation for Houston. The have e sentially made the playoffs without actually making the playoffs. The clinching a playoff spot eliminated one potential path for the to get into the wild card. Now it's simple: Pittsburgh Cleveland, and hope Rex Ryan exacts revenge in a win over the .The - is the most interesting on the AFC slate in despite all the injuries for the . Rex Ryan has a track record of emotional finales, and it would be ironic if the were on the wrong end of things this time around. Buffalo's banged-up roster and lackluster recent play makes an upset unlikely. But this is the NFL. It's far more likely than the beating the . And this same team trailed and the in the fourth quarter just a week ago.The will earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win in Miami next week. Losing that game early in the day would open the door for the to earn home-field advantage in the afternoon.Got all that? If you di secting the NFC, . Jacob Young Jersey
  22. Former NFL player and scout Bucky Brooks is spotlighting the prospects who make a mark -- for better or worse -- at the 2015 NFL . On Sunday, the defensive linemen and linebackers took the field. Bucky provides his impre sions from Indianapolis. MORE WINNERS & LOSERS: | Buzzworthy It's time to acknowledge that Beasley is one of the top pa s-rushing prospects in the 2015 cla s. At the NFL , he has silenced critics questioning his size, strength and power, capping off a fine week with a sensational on-field performance Sunday. The 6-foot-3, 246-pound edge rusher pumped out 35 reps on the bench pre s and posted impre sive marks in every athletic drill. From his sizzling 4.53-second time in the 40-yard dash to his terrific measurements in the jumps (41-inch vertical, 130-inch broad) to his remarkable shuttle times (6.91 three-cone drill, 4.15 20-yard shuttle), Beasley showed scouts that he is one of the premier athletes available in this draft. Most importantly, he's packed on nearly 15 pounds since the end of the season without losing any speed or quickne s, and he Pat Hentgen Jersey displayed more power than most evaluators expected prior to this event. Given Beasley's impre sive athletic feats and his solid rsum as a pa s rusher, his stock is shooting up after this week in Indy. Despite entering the combine with plenty of hype, the jury was still out on whether Fowler po se sed the physical tools to be considered an elite prospect. After clocking a 4.60 40-yard dash and displaying better-than-anticipated quickne s in shuttle drills (7.40 three-cone drill, 4.32 20-yard shuttle and 11.89 60-yard shuttle), few scouts harbor concerns about Fowler's athleticism and explosivene s as an edge rusher. The ex-Gator also showed outstanding balance and body control in positional drills. From dropping into coverage with his eyes on the quarterback to changing directions in a variety of agility and bag drills, Fowler looks comfortable playing in space from an upright position. If he continues to kill it at his pro day and in a series of private workouts, Fowler could cement his status as a top-five overall talent and surpa s and as the top edge defender on the board. The "Workout Warrior" Award should be placed in Dupree's hands after his eye-popping showing on Sunday. Despite having a groin injury that forced him to sit out positional drills, he ran a 4.56 40 and popped a pair of impre sive jumps (42-inch vertical, 138-inch broad) that showcased his explosive athletic ability. This will boost Dupree's stock as an edge-rushing threat. The former Cavalier standout had been hailed as one of the draft's biggest sleepers prior to the NFL , but the cat might be out of the bag now, as Harold put on a spectacular showing on the turf Sunday. The 6-3, 247-pounder clocked a 4.60 in the 40 and posted remarkable times in the shuttle drills (7.07 in the three-cone, 4.16 in the 20-yard and 11.81 in the 60-yard). In addition, Harold recorded a 35-inch vertical jump and a 123-inch broad jump, suggesting that he is an explosive athlete with the physical tools to develop into a consistent pa s-rushing threat off the edge. Buzzkill The workouts in Indy are not supposed to hurt a player's stock, but it will be hard for scouts to overlook Dawson's disappointing performance on Sunday. He posted pedestrian times in the 40 (4.93) and didn't show any explosivene s in the jumping drills (28-inch vertical, 109-inch broad). Those lackluster marks accompanied a dismal performance in the positional workout, where he looked stiff and upright while changing directions. Although Dawson's game tape is as solid as any prospect in the 2015 cla s, this lack of athleticism and explosivene s could prompt some teams to drop their grades on the standout linebacker. Thompson was painted as a dynamic athletic with explosive speed and quickne s, but scouts will question that initial a se sment after watching his underwhelming performance in Indianapolis. Thompson posted average marks in the 40-yard dash (4.64 seconds), vertical jump (33.5 inches) and broad jump (117 inches), looking nothing like the athletic freak he was supposed to be. Although he was rather smooth and fluid in positional drills, Thompson didn't show the burst or explosivene s evaluators expected to see. With several scouts and coaches still undecided on Thompson's best position as a pro, the disappointing showing will lead to more questions about his upside and overall potential. Biggest subplot entering Monday's workout The competition for the top cornerback spot in the 2015 cla s will take center stage at Lucas Oil Stadium, with Michigan State's , Washington's and LSU's all vying for the title. Evaluators around the NFL believe the trio offers immense talent, but coaches need to see which defender po se ses the speed, quickne s, technical skills and versatility to thrive as a lockdown corner in the league. With a host of drills designed to highlight the footwork and movement skills of each player, the final day of the 2015 NFL should provide evaluators with some clarity on the cornerback pecking order. 23. Even the two-time defending champions have needs. The will look to three-peat come next NFL season, but first, there's the 2024 NFL Draft. And while every franchise chasing , Andy Reid and the Jonathan Hernandez Jersey Chiefs will look to make big leaps via acquiring young talent, Kansas City will look to get better as well. With that, FOX Sports NFL analyst weighed in on what the Chiefs might do with their first pick the 32nd pick in this month's draft.ADVERTISEMENT Let's take a look at Schwartz's pick.Kansas City Chiefs to draft a WR -130The Chiefs are unpredictable in the .They went with a running back in 2020 that they absolutely didnt need, before trading up in 2022, before selecting a defensive end that was unexpected at No. 32 in this last draft. Theyve also been known to trade back when given the opportunity. So wagering on Kansas City's exact first position drafted could be difficult, but we have to wager using the information we have right now.The Chiefs' two positions of need right now are wide receiver and offensive tackle, with cornerback po sibly as the next position of need. They are drafting 32nd, and when looking at big boards and mock drafts, I don't see an offensive tackle worthy of drafting at 32. If youre taking a tackle, then its expected hes playing immediately and the options at 32 arent ready to start for a contender today. So Id take tackle off the list. However, a trade down is always po sible, and then a tackle could be an option, but wagering on trading down options is worthle s.Will the Kansas City Chiefs' run end this year? Cornerback options at 32 could spark the interest of the Chiefs. Its not a cornerback-heavy draft and the rush to draft offensive players could push some talented corners down the board to the Chiefs. However, Kansas City has a young core of defensive backs already on the roster and spending the 32nd pick on another one seems not worth the value, with one big roster hole at the moment. That roster hole is wide receiver, and the hole might have gotten larger with second year receiver in .Rice saw gradual weekly improvement as a rookie, culminating with major contributions to the Chiefs' postseason succe s. The Chiefs added on a one-year deal and the rest of the receiving room is a bunch of dudes. There's not much proven depth or targets that will make Mahomes feel comfortable. The Chiefs must add to the receiver room in this draft. You couldnt ask for a better draft to net a franchise talent at wide receiver and one will be available at 32. out of and from are two options. A bigger receiver who I think the Chiefs need to target like will be there at 32.In short, options for improving on the outside will be there, and I believe the Chiefs will pull the trigger.Geoff Schwartz is an NFL analyst for FOX Sports. With free agency approaching, they remain at the center of the NFL because they have so many big-name players with uncertain futures. On Thursday, we learned they are making progre s toward keeping their best players. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that there is could get done with . That would e sentially be like getting two contracts handled. It's busine s season. Here's what else we learned from the combine on Thursday:One day after the said they "absolutely" expect to remain on the roster this year, Kaepernick's agents have, sources informed of the situation told NFL Media's Rand Getlin. It remains to be seen whether the are open to dealing him or whether any team would even want to take on his Phoenix Sanders Jersey contract. It's po sible the have just been posturing in public all week, knowing that this potential trade request was coming. In January, the Houston Chronicle reported the were expected to release before free agency. That is looking le s likely after Thursday. General manager Rick Smith said that Foster's . If the release him, it won't be because of money.Houston has plenty of salary-cap room, so Foster's status is not a pre sing concern. With the team expecting Foster to be healthy again in 2016, it sure sounds like he'll get a chance to show his wares in training camp. If he gets cut, it probably won't come until August. has outlasted three head coaches, and it sounds like he'll play for a fourth. executive vice president Sashi Brown said Thursday that Gordon if he is reinstated by the NFL. While that reinstatement is not expected to happen before free agency, signs point to Gordon being back on the field in 2016. Brown sounded optimistic about Gordon's future. general manager John Dorsey sounded confident about retaining linebacker , currently No. 24 on our . Dorsey said the aren't about to let good players walk away. They could also use the franchise tag on safety . Based on comments from general manager Ozzie Newsome and coach John Harbaugh over the last few days, big money left tackle 's days could be numbered with the team. Harbaugh said the team made an "aggre sive" offer to impending free agent , who ranks in the . He also said that the team sees Osemele as a left tackle, which is Monroe's position. Newsome said Wednesday that Monroe is the team's left tackle "right now," which is never a good sign. Rapoport reported Thursday that the have already offered a contract that would make Osemele the second-highest paid offensive player on the team.Newsome had a big smile on his face when we saw him. Maybe that's because he knew his fellow Alabama alum was . coach Mike Zimmer expects impending free agent to be back on the team in 2016. He also had some interesting words about . "I think there's sometimes where (Teddy) needs to believe that this is my time, my team," Zimmer told . In an annual tradition, general manager Les Snead did a great job convincing reporters that his team was going in the right direction. By the end of the se sion, Snead literally addre sed our and told him he would win Los Angeles and Se sler over. They just need to find a quarterback. "Here's what I'm going to say," Snead told Se sler. "It's a team sport. I think it's easier -- the goal should be selling winning and consistently winning and not nece sarily an individual player, so I think what you do is, you win during the season. Sales jobs come during the offseason and preseason and they really don't matter." Said Snead: "I think you don't sell it. You actually just do it. Then it sells itself."One surprising star of the news conference schedule: general manager Ted Thompson. While he doesn't give out , he had the room cracking up for much of his 15-minute se sion with his dry humor. Alex Jackson Jersey
